What is the cost of a feed alley coating per m²?
What is the price of a feed alley coating?
The application of a feed alley coating has many different prices. The big difference in price can be found by the difference in service providers and the so-called do-it-yourself systems. With service providers, you pay for the hours as well as the material. This can make the prices per m² high.
In addition, it also matters whether you are dealing with a single-layer, two-layer or three-layer system. Farmcoat products are offered in a two-layer system that can be applied in 1 day by the farmer himself; consisting of a layer of primer and a layer of coating. Because the coating can be applied in very thick layers (up to one centimeter), a two-layer system is sufficient. In addition, a primer ensures a very strong bond to the concrete, which makes the coating last longer.
Finally, it is important how worn the feed alley is. With new feed alleys, the worn concrete does not need to be leveled. This reduces consumption considerably and therefore also the costs per m².
For deeply worn surfaces we advise to sand the surface with a concrete grinder. If the worn surface is sanded first, this will significantly reduce the consumption of coating.
Farmcoat Leveling Floor Coating can be applied from €9 per m². This price applies to new surfaces. Is the surface worn? Then the price increases to around €28 per m².
